Systems Thinking and Leadership
Managing Chaos and Complexity
During the last 50 years, there has been a shift in our way of knowing: from analytical thinking, the science of dealing with independent sets of variables, to systems thinking, the art, and science of handling interdependent set of variables. Effective use of these conceptions requires not only a clear understanding of the notion self-organization and purposeful behavior of socio-cultural systems but also recognition of the imperative of interdependency and choice. This seminar will deal with the implications of these crucial changes.

Dealing with Difficult People
Dealing with people at their worst is something we all do everyday, but that doesn't make it any easier. In this humorous, informative seminar, Dr. Kirschner shows you how to take the pain out of dealing with problem people by revealing the attitudes and behaviors that will help you solve people problems. This presentation shifts the focus from being reactive to proactive, from struggling with people to building relationships with them, from seeing what's wrong to doing what is right.

Delivering Positive Criticism
The First Step Toward Performance Improvement
Recent research suggests that criticism is perhaps the most powerful and neglected business skill, that it causes more conflicts at work than disputes over power, pay, and promotion, and that most of us are inept at giving and taking criticism productively. This intense program will focus on how to transform the necessary exchange of criticism from a taboo act and a destructive and demoralizing encounter into a positive, motivating, mutually beneficial experience that encourages trust, heightens self-esteem, and boosts productivity.
